What is Down?

Down is made up of cluster filaments growing in the pinnule of rodless feathers. It looks like dandelion seeds. It is the symbol of nature, environmental protection and health with functions of automatic moisture absorption and perspiration. Down is classified into duck’s down and goose down. Down has fluffy appearance and light weight. It is used for keeping inner warmth by goose, duck and other water fowls. Protected with grease, down is not perishable. The fowls such as chicken do not have down.
