Japan's consumer affairs agency (CAA) approval to adopt the new Care label standard JIS L0001-2014 "textiles - Care label Symbols" (Textile - Care Labeling Code Using Symbols), will be based on the Household goods Quality Labeling act (Household Products Quality Labeling Law) to replace the existing standard of Care label JISL0217-1995.New standards will be coordinated with ISO international ISO3758 care label system, effective from December 1, 2016.
The new standard of care symbols from 22 to 41, when consumers buy textiles can provide it with more detailed information about nursing method and cost.After the effective date, in order to market acceptance by Japan, textiles must with new care label.
